ERIC JACKSON

Eric Jackson is an active horn player and performer based in Tulsa, OK and Springfield, MO. He is a member of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra and Ozarks Lyric Opera, and is a founding member of the Evangel University Brass Quintet. As a freelance musician, he frequently performs with ensembles throughout the region, including the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra, Texarkana Symphony Orchestra, local theatres, and churches.

 

Dr. Jackson brings extensive experience teaching brass students of all ages and skill levels. His students regularly earn awards and scholarships, and many have continued their musical journeys in graduate studies and professional careers as educators and performers.

Dr. Jackson currently teaches at Evangel University and has previously taught at Southwest Baptist University. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Missouri–Kansas City, a Master of Music degree from Indiana University, and a Bachelor of Music degree from Missouri State University.

HORN LESSONS

Dr. Jackson teaches horn lessons for students of all ages and skill levels in the Springfield community. His office is located on the Evangel University campus. Online lessons are not currently available.

EU Brass Quintet

The Evangel University Faculty Brass Quintet serves as the brass quintet-in-residence at Evangel University. Members are Tim Wootton and Darren Eddington on trumpets, Eric Jackson on horn, Matt Moore on trombone and Dwight Davis on tuba.

In addition to playing for university functions, the quintet enjoys performing in the surrounding community through concerts, clinics, workshops and other events.
